A new day was just starting as the sun made it's way into the sky brightening up the day. As the light made it's way into windows around the city of Jump it made it's way into a certain window lighting up a very odd sight for most. On a bed in a new house he barely remembered entering Jack was fast asleep. His body spread out across the bed as the blanket was left on the floor from his movement in his sleep. On pillow rested against his chest while the other could be found hanging half way out of his mouth. Jack made a few groans as the light finally covered his face forcing him to wake. Sitting up with his dark hair all pushed to one side from sleeping against the bed Jack scanned the room he was in with a tired expression on his face. Spitting the pillow out that was half way soaked with his saliva and leaving him to remember what happened last night. Though it all came back rather fast all starting with the memory of Maia. Getting up Jack made his way forward off the bed and soon stood up bracing himself up on both hands. His body perfectly extended upward in a hand stand. With his body facing the door Jack started to push his body up and down to complete his daily morning work out.
"1..2..3...4...5...6..7...."
Jack kept going yawning and watching the door as his hair slowly started to become unstuck naturally do to how thick and healthy it was. Having never brushed his hair Jack's hair was kept clean and left to be natural set. He never had to worry about sweating so it was just about cleaning off his body of dirt. Which thanks to being in a bed he really just smelled like the bed he slept on all night. Jack could still smell the scent of Maia against him and it caused him to remember everything that happened just before they went to sleep.
"Maia sure is something....47...48...49...50..."
Jack kept going still lost in thought as he watched the door wondering what he should do today. Also what would happen with him and Maia. Jack didn't know what he was going to do. He was offered to stay for a while but was it the right thing for them for Jack to be here was his question.

Maia sighed as she woke up right after the sun rose, going from black hair and mismatched eyes to blond hair and sky blue eyes. She looked like a human again....for once that made her sad as she got up to shower. Jack...if it wasn't for the fact that she could still feel his warmth she would think it was all a dream.
With a sigh she shook her head. What was wrong with her?! Maia got out, quickly drying off and getting dressed in a powder blue, sleeveless sundress with white straps. It was a habit to dress this way when the sun was up.
Slowly, Maia made her way to where the half demon was sleeping and knocked. She could smell breakfast was ready and she might as well get him. "Jack? You up?"

Jack reached to a hundred and pushed off the ground with his hands landing on his feet. Figuring he should get his normal pants back on Jack walked over to his pants taking them up and removing the pajama pants as he got into his normal pants. Strapping a belt around the baggy black pants Jack heard someone approaching his door. Walking towards it Jack heard Maia's voice and without hesitation just pulled open the door to see Maia. Just finishing up on his belt Jack stood there watching her. She had her blond hair back and those blue eyes.
"Hello Maia....I'm almost ready."
Jack turned and went back into the room leaving the door open. Lifting up his torn up hoodie Jack pulled out a white t-shirt from it. Placing it over his head he put it on letting out a sigh. The shirt was a perfect fit just meeting the top of his pants covering his stomach. Jack never liked wearing shirts but it never bothered him much. Though Jack never realized why it was easy to understand cause of Jack's more muscle toned frame that shirts fit him more snug. Though Jack needed it cause of all the running around he does not wanting to get caught up. Only leaving his pants loose around the joints for fighting. Looking back over to Maia Jack spoke in a soft voice before turning back to his hoodie that he folded up.
"You always have such beautiful eyes Maia."
Placing it down folded up Jack walked back over to Maia looking her over. Many might of not of been able to know it's Maia in certain lights though Jack could tell. Her smell was the same though he could tell she took a bath. She also had that same glint of innocent looks in her eyes. Stretching up his arms Jack spoke in a soft voice smelling the food down stairs.
"I'm guessing it's time for breakfast?"

She froze when the door opened, unable to stop herself from blushing. Last night she'd been so focused on his scars but now...ah! Snap out of it! She blinked, looking away. "A-alright..."
What was wrong with her?! Not like she'd never seen a shirtless man before! Maia nodded, slowly looking back up at his comment, blushing again. Why did she blush so much around him!? It was crazy! She couldn't remember ever blushing this much around anyone! But....he still thought she was beautiful...in the day time....
"Th-thank you." Jack actually found both sides of her beautiful...just like she found every new side to Jack interesting. She nodded at his question. "Um, yes. It's ready. Mom's probably made a lot so better get downstairs before it gets cold."

Jack watched her and soon a sly grin appeared on his face as he watched her face turn red. This time with her blond hair and blue eyes it was a bit nicer to see it. Though the effect it had on Jack was just the same. Jack moved by Maia looking back speaking in a soft voice.
"Your still so red Maia."
Letting out a slight laugh Jack looked down the stairs only to jump straight down landing on the first floor of the house without even a sound. His legs were crouched and he displaced all of the sound and energy throughout his body. It was even lighter than someone stepping off a single step. It was Jack's trademark. He was made to be silent. Plus Jack always liked to get places fast. Looking up at Maia Jack held a sly grin on his face.
"That fast enough?"
Jack walked into the kitchen sitting at the table again. His eyes just waited to meet with Maia again and thought it was great to be around Maia. She was fun to be around and was so interesting to him. Jack had no idea what he was really doing every time he teased Maia though it was fun.

"O-oh...um..." Of course he'd noticed. Why was she always red around him!? "Oh!" Maia gasped when he jumped, looking down the stairs only to give a sigh of relief.
She couldn't help but laugh, smiling as she followed after him. "Don't scare me like that." Maia shook her head, sitting down as her mother served them all up scrambled eggs, sausage, and toast.
Sophia hummed happily as she got some tea for her and her husband and cranberry juice for Maia. "You like juice, Jack? Maybe milk or some tea? And do you prefer butter or jam?"

"I didn't know you were so protective Maia? Don't worry I don't break easily."
Jack laughed lightly and soon found himself being served all this food he has never had before. Looking at it all Jack almost wanted to check his pulse to see if he was still alive. Then he was asked a question that made him sit there in much confusion. Though he thought of a simple way to solve it all.
"Um if it's not to much trouble could I try everything?"
Jack watched Sophia and thought maybe it was a bit rude to ask. Though he knew that most likely him apologizing wouldn't help it all. Grabbing his fork Jack started to eat all some of the eggs on his plate. A very low almost purr sound came from him as he smiled with every bite. Jack was enjoying himself so much with just the eggs he ate them slow and felt like he was in another world all alone with them.
"This is the best food I have ever tasted."

"Well, don't see why not." Maia's mother smiled, getting two glasses and a tea cup and filled them all with different drinks before setting them in front of Jack. "If you'd like me to add any cream, sugar, or milk in tea just let me know. Everyone likes their tea different."
Maia smiled, slowly digging into her food., looking at Jack every once and a while. He was truly something else...in a good way, of course. She snapped out of it as Sophia smiled and nodded. "Oh, thank you, Jack. Glad you enjoy it."

"Cream and sugar sounds good please."
Jack started eating his toast and sausage with the same happy expression on his face. It was a great feeling to have all this nice food entering his body. Sipping the juice set in front of him Jack drank it down letting out a sigh of relief. It was good and went well with the toast. Eating down the toast Jack moved onto finishing his eggs while sipping on his milk. After a little he was finally finished only left with his tea. Using a napkin to clean his face Jack just watched Maia and looked out the window. Sipping his tea he soon spoke in his usual soft calm tone sitting in a more refined manner once more.
"Maia I was thinking would you like to go into the city with me today? I have never been around your city before. I was wondering if you would like to come with me. That is if it's okay with your mother."
Jack gently set his empty cup of tea on a plate and felt like has never eaten before till this day. Sophia was really a great woman and mother that was clear. She had to be a great wife as well to stand through everything. Jack was reminded of his mother every time he saw Sophia wondering if she missed him when she gave him up. Though Jack would never have that chance now. Holding a slight smile as he looked down at the table just soon snapped out of it watching Maia.
"Thank you so much for the wonderful meal Mrs. Sophia. It was perfect."

Sophia nodded, adding a bit of cream and sugar to his tea. Maia smiled as she finished up, watching him. She almost didn't hear what he said but grinned at it. "Really?! I-I mean sure! Of course! Mom?"
Her mother grinned, nodding. "Well, I don't see why not. This is a really nice town, Jack. Long as you ignore the crime but the beauty of it is there's more than enough 'heroes' here to balance it out. Nice and safe! And if you two bump into one of those villains I'm sure you'll be safe."
Sophia smiled again at the complement, ignoring the fact that Maia was daydreaming, gazing slightly at Jack. "Oh, thank you, Jack. Glad you enjoyed it. And, please. You can call me Sophia."

Jack pushed his chair gently from the table as he listened to Sophia speak. With a light nod Jack just stood up with a smile on his face. His white teeth and fangs showing. Letting out a few words to assure Maia's mother that no one would be thinking of hurting Maia with Jack around. Jack finally found a bond with someone and Maia was already such a nice girl. No one would ever hurt her if Jack had anything to say about it.
"I'll take good care of Maia. Nothing in this city I can't handle. I can promise you that Sophia."
Jack soon looked over to Maia pointing with his thumb over his shoulder toward the door. For some reason Jack didn't understand to well Jack was really excited about spending some time with Maia. It's not like he ever had someone to even walk with never mind spend a day exploring the city with.
"Lets go Maia."
Turning around Jack made his way for the door opening it up and stepping out into the light of the sun. His light tan skin had almost a slight shine under the light of the sun. The warm body temp he was known for was just soaking in all the sun. Jack waited for Maia at the bottom of her stairs wondering where they should go first. Jack thought Maia probably didn't think of this as special but Jack was sure excited.
"It feels so unreal like this..."

Maia nodded, quickly getting up. "Right. Bye mom, bye dad. I'll see you later." She took off after him, her parents smiling at each other. Their little girl had finally truly grown up.
She got outside, closing the door behind her. It was special for her. She actually had someone she could connect with and they were about to really spend time together! "Yeah....it does. Um....so...any ideas on where to?"

"Well I think for a date it's best to be surprising."
Jack spoke smiling. He didn't really know how the words he spoke would effect Maia though where Jack came from that's what any outing with another person was called. Though Jack had no idea it may of meant something else. Reaching out his hand Jack gently went to grab Maia's so that he could do what he promised and look after her. Plus after how many times Jack saw the streets get filled to the brim with people. Jack always saw people holding hands or something along the lines. Little did he know that wasn't the only reason. Moving to start his walk towards the shop area of town down a lot of people could already be seen moving to start the day. Be it to open up a shop or to go shopping.
"So Maia do you have an favorite stores around here?"
Jack looked over to see a strange store only to read a "Costumes" sign hanging from it. Thinking about how his was torn he figured it was a normal tailor shop. Though he was very wrong. Walking inside Jack saw that he was wrong when all these odd costumes of rabbits or party costumes were hanging around. Speaking in a soft voice Jack looked around.
"What kind of place is this Maia?"

"Da-date? You mean that?" She smiled, blushing as he held her hand. A date. She was going on a date! Maia thought for a bit at his question. She had lots of shops she loved but her favorites?
She looked off, laughing as he dragged her into a costume store. "It's a costume place. Costumes are pretty much....it's like a disguise for fun! You dress up as something else, usually for parties and Halloween. Stuff like cats, clowns, princesses, pirates....vampires....there's lots of things you can be with the right stuff from here."

The girl that worked at the counter noticed the two walked in and wasted no time in making her way toward Jack. She pointed out a few sales around the store before telling him to ask if he ever needed anything. Jack just sort of stared and gave a nod before going back to Maia. Seeing a few interesting things around in the Aile's Jack took Maia along toward one. Grabbing something off a shelf Jack placed a set of cat ears on Maia with a large grin on his face.
"Aww Maia looks so cute."
Jack started to laugh before a few guys from the back grabbed him and started pulling him toward the changing room. Jack had a sort of blank "what is going on" look on his face as he got dragged into a changing room by some guys who kept telling him that if he wanted to get paid not to be late next time clearly being mistaken for someone else. Jack could only take so much once the door closed a massive scene broke out with the door bouncing around and the two other guys screaming for help and trying to crawl away as Jack kept tyeing them up with pieces of cloth till they were both hanging tied up by a light. Jack walked out with a evil sly grin on his face as the door came open and he walked out with a devil tail and horns on his head. Clenching his fist he slammed the door shut and stood there not realizing what he was wearing just yet. The girl at the desk took a picture and hid the camera trying to pretend nothing happened as a few other people in the store clapped there hands.
"I'm confused....Maia is this normal?"
