A rare moment of silence had alighted upon the Teen Titans ops room, rare enough in itself, this strange occurrence was made been more bizarre by it being on a rainy day. No bickering between Cyborg and Beast Boy, no exclamations of friendship and happiness from Starfire, and not even Raven’s sigh of exasperation amid the chaos could be heard on this dreary afternoon. Despite his constant wish for occasional times of peace and quiet such as this, Robin almost missed the pandemonium that made up a standard titan day. The teen stood at the kitchen counter, feeling hungry after a long and particularly exhausting training session that had sent his muscles screaming in protest for hours. Though he showed no sign of pain as he calmly made himself a sandwich, his eyes still gazing around in confusion behind the screen of his mask.
Though there had been an outbreak of criminals and villains in recent weeks, as well as a surge of interest in their little team from external heroes, the city had been blessed with harmony this day. Finished with his task, he turned, half-expecting to be met with the sight of his teammates, before remembering that they were all in other places at the current time. A yawn escaped him as he strolled casually over to the semi-circular couch, dropping onto it lazily as his gloved hand reached instinctually for the TV remote. Barely paying attention to the television, his thoughts drifted instead to recent stirrings in the hero community – rumours were that the Justice League were preparing to visit Jump City, in light of the rise in crime.
This of course brought him onto thoughts of Batman and his not-so-recent split from his mentor, bringing back memories of their argument. Stopping himself from going down that mental path, he instead focused back on the television set, chuckling as he focused his attention on the comedy series now showing on the box. The faint sound of the door swishing open reached his ears, and he sat up straighter, inwardly pleased that one of his friends had joined him in his moment of boredom.

Where was everybody?
That had been the question contemplated by Beast Boy a couple of hours ago as he stood in the empty living room. There was absolutely no argument, shouting or anyone telling him to shut-up. I KNOW!! So weird. He was too used to the loud and never-silent lifestyle. It was a rare sight for there to be nobody around in “the T” {as he called it} but, unfortunately, it had been the reality then. “Heeelllooooo” was hollered by the green changeling. He’d been half expecting a reply, but there was none. “Where is everyone?” was thus muttered as though it really needed to. Yeah…he had no idea where his friends were. He’d recently returned from movie shopping and found the place empty. Yes, movie shopping. He had purchased the one and only Blood . It was the scariest, most horror-y horror movie EVURR!! Coming to think of it, he did inform his friends of where he was going and even warned them about Blood prior to leaving the T. He smiled. They must have been scared.
A random fact: some like comparing Beast Boy to a puppy. Why? Well mostly because he is he a social animal like a puppy, preferring company than seclusion. He’ll constantly run this way and that trying to get others to pay attention to him. It’s almost like he needs people around him to live. Without such a necessity, he’ll grow insane from boredom. Therefore, he normally tries to occupy himself with something to do whenever he’s not able to have company. From watching TV to a walk in the park, what that thing is doesn’t matter as long as it keeps insanity at bay. Keeping this random fact in mind, it’s not too hard to guess what the boy did next. TV? Nope, he wasn’t in the mood. A walk in the park? Naw, he was just outside. Not able to come up with anything better, he’d decided to simply sleep. It’s actually a great way to pass time, especially when you’re tired.
So it’s been a couple of hours and the changeling finally woke up, yawning and stretching lazily. That was before his eyes caught sight of the clock handing in his room. It’s amazing that he was able to read it with the amount of dust and dirt obscuring it, but the time on it was undeniably six thirty. In another words, Superaliens, HIS MOST FAVORITE SHOW IN THE WHOLE UNIVERSE, WAS JUST OVER!!! “AHHHH!” was his famous high-pitched screech before he rushed out of his room and towards the television set, though there really was no use. And what did he see when he reached the box? Only Robin watching a comedy show. "Robin!" Wait…wasn’t that the show shown {haha} after Superaliens? Depending on how long he’d been here, maybe Robin had watched it? A grin formed on Beast Boy’s face as he threw himself onto the couch. “So did you watch Superaliens?” He asked. Before waiting for a reply, though, he went on. “Did Murlog kick Sang’s butt? And the Superaliens? OH! OH! And what happened to Jown? Did she get blown away or what?” He really got to know.

Whatever relief the teen hero had experienced at the entrance of Beast Boy quickly diminished as the changeling leapt comically onto the couch next to him, firing a barrage of questions at him with an almost inhuman desperation in his green eyes. The ear-splitting grin stayed on his face as he finished and looked at Robin expectantly, occasionally glancing over at the TV remote which lay next to Robin on the sofa. Robin’s sandwich lay forgotten on the table as he attempted to answer his friend before he had another chance to fire off some more questions about another one of the many shows he claimed to be his favourite. Surprised that it was only Beast By who had come (usually Cyborg accompanied him in mid-afternoon TV sessions), he was still relieved of a chance to cure his boredom, and he tried not to disappoint the other too much.
“Er, Beast Boy...I didn’t watch it, I only just came in here” he said, changing the channel absent-mindedly. “Sorry” he added as an afterthought, and he could tell without even looking at him that Beast Boy wore an expression of either disappointment or shock at the revelation. It occurred to him that Beast Boy, by far the more social of the two boys, probably had much more of an idea where the other titans were, and so he asked his question, changing the topic quickly, sure that Superaliens had a later rerun or some way of catching up. Though the recent increase on Titan alerts had interrupted the titan’s TV schedules, they had all found ways of keeping up with their favourite programmes.
“You know where the others are?” he asked, flicking the channel over again, unable to find a show worth sticking to. He contemplated finding another way to amuse himself, but felt slightly lethargic and was content to sit in the ops room and keep searching for a worthy channel, and realised he was still waiting for Beast Boy to reply.
