Jinx was humming under her breath as she almost skipped through the dark street. It was a weird sight, to see such a young girl, one with bright bubblegum pink hair at that, just happily walking towards the bank at such late hour. But Jinx had a reputation here. A reputation that protected her from any harm. At least from common criminals. Ah, it was nice to have some power.
Of course as soon as she walked pass the bank an idea came to mind. She could use some cash. Just a little bit. Enough to buy some pretty necklace or maybe a new pair of combat boots.
She approached the ATM's lightly, shaking her head at how easy this was going to be. No need to make a huge ruckus and go inside the bank. Then alarms would start and the boring, yet incredibly annoying Titans will come. Either them or some other goody two shoes hero.
With a gentle and slow wave towards the ATM's, a small wave of pink light traveled from her hand to the machines. One by one, they started sparkling in a row, making the usual sounds machines did when they got tampered with. It was just for a second before every ATM started throwing green bills to the floor.
Jinx just smirked at the sight. Yes. It was good to have some power.

Lucas had been wandering around the city in a silent frustration. He had been in Jump City for a good couple of days and still no sign or presence of his mother. The city itself hadn’t been amazing simply because it seemed like a city soaked in chaos. Criminals were almost everywhere and some group known as the titans hadn’t been able to contain it. With screams of sadness and sobs that sometimes filled the night Lucas always felt compelled to help. Yet that wasn’t his job or his duty in fact he had only come here to find his mother. When he looked up he found himself in downtown standing very close to a bank. A girl with bubble gum pink hair seemed to walk pass the bank heading towards the ATMS. Lucas couldn’t help but watch her, she twirled her hands and the ATMS began to puke in bills. Checking around he was shocked the street almost seemed empty. Wasn’t full of life just a minute ago?
Lucas didn’t know that this girl had a reputation. She was one of the bigger boogiemen who had haunted this city. If he would have known this Lucas maybe would have hightailed and run like the other citizens but he walked closer to her. The thought of speaking to her was way far beyond his mental process but the thought of being near her almost thrilled him. Her magick and her aura it just made him feel back at home with his mother. She whispered something about it’s good to have power but even then power was a curse. Lucas knew all too well about how power could corrupt even the purest of hearts. He stood in silence for a bit more and then finally spoke. ”Why are you going taking this money? His voice was light and calm as he tried to understand her. His soft red eyes simply stared at her with kindness and a certain type of curiousness. ”If you don’t mind me asking of course.” Lucas added on hastily trying to make sure the stranger knew he was being polite.

Did someone just talk to her? Jinx turned to look a guy staring at her. Big red eyes. Ha. She pondered if she should ignore him at first since he was talking so calmly to her that she didn't considered him a threat. Then again, you never knew. There were wackos and idiots playing heroes around this city as it was. He had red eyes. He HAD to have some power right?
"What do you think I'm doing?" She replied in a haughty tone, almost grumpily at the boy. "And I do mind it, kid. Did you get lost or something? Go look for your mum." She waved her hand at him, not to release power, but to shoo him like one would a dog.
Once she was done with that, she decided to ignore the little one and just leaned down with the same grin she had been wearing before his appearance to pick up the money she'd just so hard worked for. What? Waving could be tiring!
Of course, the presence of the kid wasn't unnoticed. "You're still here?" She asked tiredly. What was it with this boy? "Just go away. I won't hurt you. Just... shoo!" And she waved her hand again, pursing her lips at the boy. Seriously, why was he sticking to her like glue?

His soft red eyes never left her frame as the words left his mouth. If he had to guess something was dark about her. The girl’s ties to darkness seemed really apparent, it was almost as if the shadow themselves had a grip on her. Her mouth opened and she spoke to him, her voice painting a canvas of her personality. What do you think I’m doing. Well Lucas had already made that apparent. He thought she was taking money that she somehow spelled the ATMS into giving yet why was the only question Lucas wanted answered. Was she going to give the money to a needed charity or possible give the money to some homeless people? Maybe she would pocket it for herself but if that was the case it only led to further questions. When she had told Lucas that she had minded the question the boy could only look down. ”Oh…” He said with a pitiful pout all hopes of conversation dying in him. He was bad with talking to other people in the first place but if they don’t want to talk to him anyway than that only made him feel more alone.
Go look for your mom.
When those words left her lips it felt like a personal attack against Lucas. It was almost as if she knew his whole reason for being here. He turned around wanting to spread his wings and cry, but he began to think. Why should he run off and cry because of some silly little comment? That was back when he was 5 he was 15 now. He gazed through some apartment windows and saw a very scared woman talking on the phone. She was probably going to call the cops on this woman but why? The pink haired girl didn’t harm anyone really she had just simply spelled a few ATMS for some cash. The girl was speaking some more something about not hurting him and with that he turned back around to look at her. I think someone’s calling the police. He said this so casual it had almost appeared normal to be talking to a criminal in the middle of the street in the afternoon. Sirens could be heard awhile away but the sounds got closer and closer.
He opened his mouth and began to speak words of magic. Every word that came from his mouth echoed with power that only a magic-user could sense. ” Velieris nos in vestri validus rays servo nos ex os , nidor , sanus , tactus , quod sententia oh matris sol solis.” When he finished his spell the cop cars had just arrived. They looked at the area and simply shrugged and drove off. Lucas looked at the girl again not wanting to seem rude. ”Oh I did a spell in case you were wondering, I had the sun hide us from sight with her rays. Im Lucas by the way miss?”

Aw. Did she hurt his feelings or something? She almost snorted as the little one just looked down all shyly. If she hadn't been so cold and, you know, in the middle of a theft she would had thought it was cute. Now it was a lot more than annoying. It didn't bother her much though, as she continued to collect the bills from the floor.
His next words made her look up though. What? Jinx stood up with a handful of bills in one hand and smirked up at the old woman. "That shouldn't be a problem." She said as her eyes glowed bright pink and the telephone the woman was holding exploded. She let out a satisfied noise, looking as haughty as ever... until the sirens started to get closer. Oh crap.
"Well, that's okay. I'm up for a little bit of exercise." She said, waving her hand as if in preparation for her battle. That was until the little boy started to chant such words. What the hell was that? Jinx was no idiot. She knew he was chanting something in another language. Maybe he was like that witch Raven and needed something to concentrate.
Jinx prepared herself for battle, her eyes starting to glow dangerously. But then nothing happened. She dropped her stance, blinking at him curiously. She didn't need to ask since the little boy explained by himself.
The sorceress smiled, placing her hands on her hips and looking pleased. "Well, aren't you useful!" She said walking towards the little boy. She leaned down to look at his face before patting his head lightly, like one would to a little child. Well, to her, he WAS a little child.
"I'm Jinx!" She introduced herself proudly, placing a hand over her chest for effect, "And I'm guessing you're not a regular human either. Right, little one?" She smiled down at him again. "Are you lost?" She repeated her question, now glad he was there.
If he was alone then she could bring him to the H.I.V.E. Academy. They would love to have someone with his abilities there. Especially since his morals seemed the same as hers. He had just helped a criminal after all.

Lucas had been studying the young woman’s actions through the moments. She had been quick and ready to fight making the one woman’s phone explode. The teen seemed prone to violence or even more so enjoying anything criminal. The teen walked closer to Lucas making him shiver a bit, she eyed him and Lucas stared back not with fear but with a curiosity to understand. She had called him useful before she had walked over so Lucas felt he would be safe if only for a few moments. Her soft hand padded his silky red hair making it curl and gently wrap around her hand in the weakest of grips. When she spoke her name he felt her magical aura pulse. Jinx The name echoed in his head and he looked at her very softly. A smile curved across his mouth as he looked at Jinx. ”It’s a pleasure to meet you Jinx!” Jinx began speaking asking him if he were a regular human and then if he was lost.
”Well my mother was an um, Animagus and I think my dad was the same. As for me being lost well, I don’t have a home if that’s what you mean.” Lucas thought Jinx must have been an immortal seeing as she called him little one. He had thought she had been 15 or 14 but apparently he had been wrong. With Jinx’s kind eyes he decided to trust her and he took a couple steps back. Jumping into the air with all his might his angelic wings spread forth from his back. A couple feathers dropped down to where jinx was standing, as Lucas floated the suns gleams making his feathers shine. ”My name is Lucas Castle, Master Jinx, please take care of me.” In truth Lucas looked more like an angel if anything. His childlike face and innocent smile with the sun right behind him.

His childlike reply made her smile turn the tiniest bit gentler. He was certainly cute. A little boy lost in the street. It was a wonder nothing had happened to him in such a dangerous city, but his magic seemed useful. Maybe he was more powerful than he seemed. Not that Jinx needed him to know that. Call it motherly instinct or whatever but she was growing fond of the midget.
"Ani-magus?" She repeated while raising an eyebrow. Were they suddenly inside a book? She shook her head at the thought. Hell, here she was. A girl who caused bad luck with a wave of a hand and she was questioning a little boy who could do magic whose parents were some kind of magical creatures. Yes. Jump city was turning weirder and weirder.
She waved her hand, looking haughty. "Never mind that. That's not important." She said and then smiled down at the boy. "If you have nowhere to go I know of a place that'll take you in." She added a wink at that. "You'll have plenty of food and friends." The last word came out forcefully from Jinx. Friends. Right. All kinds of evil, egotistical, self centered, stupid, idiotic- Woah, he was flying!
The pink haired girl couldn't hide her shock as the boy spread wings and flew as apparently he could control the sun's beam. Wait... Didn't he say before he'd used the sun to cover them both? Wow. That was some impressive powers. The H.I.V.E. would be pleased that she brought such talent in.
And he's just called her 'Master'. Ooooohh, Jinx smirked at that bit. Should she be feeling bad for taking advantage of some innocent kid? She looked at his bright, innocent smile for a moment and she had to smile back. Nah. He could take care of himself just fine.
"Okay then, kid. Come on." She gestured him, placing the handful of bills she'd been carrying carelessly into her pocket, making some fall to the floor. She was ignoring the fact that he'd just displayed an impressive amount of power. Pfft. How boring. Someone this innocent and cute with such power. She would had thought that, if he could do anything, he would make rainbows appear or maybe make it rain sugar. Anyway...
"We need to get going then. The police is already here and I don't feel like exercising."

It seemed as though Jinx didn’t understand what an Animagus was. Lucas had opened his mouth to give a better explanation but she waved her hand and shushed him. She began to speak of a place Lucas could stay at. His ears had perked up at this seeing as he was tired of sleeping on the ground and would miss a bath and a bed. As she talked about it she winked as if it were some inside joke, Jinx mentioned food and friends. Lucas wasn’t on the hunt for friends but food and shelter would always be a plus. She waved for him to follow and made a mention about the police. The police had in fact showed up and they were pointing guns at Jinx and at himself. Why would they point guns at us we didn’t hurt anyone. Lucas began thinking trying to figure out why they were being attacked. He pointed his palm at them and closed his eyes calling upon the wind. ” Repleo Lemma Per Vestri Quietus Ventus Permissum Lemma Sumo Mitis Dormio.” When he was done speaking the words of powers a current of wind streamed through the cops making them fall under a beautiful sleep.
Lucas pulled his wings back and followed Jinx allowing her to take him wherever she wanted. For some strange reason he felt like he could trust her and he hoped (for her sake) she wouldn’t betray him. ”Master Jinx, you’d never betray me or put me in harm’s way right?” Lucas began asking. He was worried and insecure about the whole situation but he still wanted to follow through. The teen had thought that he had made a friend with the sorceress but he knew how quick changing their minds could be.
(Sorry for the crappy post but I wanted to give you something)

(ooc: don't worry. It's good ^-^)
Jinx nodded, just turning her head towards the now gun pointing policemen wearing the same light smile, as if being pointed at by weapons was nothing new to her. Mostly because it actually wasn't. Just a wave of her hand and she would get rid of- Oh!
"Like I said," She said with a bright smile, patting the kid's head again as if he was a pet. He had soft hair too, which made him all cuter. "Useful." She let out a small laugh, before walking ahead of the boy absentmindedly, ignoring the amount of policemen laying on the floor. What? It's not like she hadn't seen that one before!
And then he asked his strange question, almost like a threat. A threat covered in sugar and chocolate syrup. Jinx blinked at the boy for a moment, not sure of what to say. Never betray him? Well... It wasn't like he was depending on her, right?
...Right?
"Yeah yeah. Don't worry about that." She answered finally, smiling again while waving her hand at him. Again, she rested importance to his words. What would the kid do to her, anyway? It wasn't like he'll have any trouble in the H.I.V.E.
"Now, they may ask for a few things at that place we're going, but it's all good. You won't have any problems." If she hadn't had any problems then the kid wouldn't either.
