Physical Appearance- Mercury is 5’’10 and weighs at 130lbs. Due to being indoors a lot often than others, he is pale in comparison to most, his skin being an apricot shade. His eyes aren't exactly anything worth noticing, being a smokey grey color. His hair is also very plain, being an average black color, also having a normal hair style, being straight and barely reaching his neck.
Uniform- Mercury wears only a light gray skin suit that covers covers his whole body and stretches as a mask to cover his mouth. The suit has a large dark gray M on the front and back.
Outer Personality- At first Jake will try to give off a tough guy attitude and want to seem like a good hero-type guy, but this won’t last for long. Eventually he won’t feel like he’s making himself look any cooler and will act a bit more like his inner personality. The tough guy exterior will last even shorter when someone calls him out on it or out toughs him. To villains though he will always keep a serious eye to. One habit he has is either correcting someone on information, ruining sarcastic comments or jokes with facts, or filling in people’s bites on information. He takes words very literally and doesn’t know how to pay much attention to people’s tones, meaning he doesn’t pick up on sarcasm or puns.
Inner Personality- It would some obvious that Jake feels very lonely a lot of the time and will prioritize making friends, though he lacks the social experience to do so effectively, which often leads to him staying in his own place and act shy. He was never very prejudice when it came to the unpowered vs powered groups, but now that he has powers of his own he’s beginning to understand the struggle that super powered people go through despite not having much trouble himself. The lack of social experience also means he has not had much experience with the opposite gender, this often makes him oblivious to flirtatious comments or to any feelings from anyone else no matter how obvious the signs may be. However, it is very easy for Jake to become infatuated by girls.
Powers/Abilities- Marcury’s main ability is self-explanatory by his name, he is able to polymorph into Mercury. He can form any and every part of his body into mercury. He can also change the density of the mercury form, keeping it the natural liquid based form, or making it as hard as metal. This ability can serve useful for creating weapons or increasing his mass for defenses. It is also noted that Mercury is naturally adhesive, giving Vader the ability to stick to solid substances if parts of his body making contact is mercury, also since Mercury is non-organic, he cannot be detected by magic or anything that is made to detect living beings. The drawbacks range from very minor to major. Since Mercury changes all of his cells to non-organic matter and back often gives him a very uncomfortable feeling(the most notable one being when he changes his mouth and tongue to mercury, stating it leaves a metal taste). A major drawback comes from prolonged use of fully being mercury. Turning his head(in the same process his brain) for too long could cause minor brain damage, which leaves him careful when using his powers, his intelligence being one of his major assets.
Jake himself has a naturally high IQ, being able to figure out and solve things quickly. Also extensive self studying has given him a vast amount of general knowledge which can be either useful, or annoying, which could make him a formidable foe strategy-wise.
Weapons- None, but he does create weapons from his body or use environmental weapons when necessary.
Gadgets and Gizmos- None
History- Jake was born into a lower middle-class family. He was often neglected by them, but they did love him, they were just too busy working to be able to pay as much attention to him. He had an unusually high IQ, so school wasn’t much of a problem to him. He was often the top of his class, but along the lines school seemed to be too slow for him, he didn’t feel like he was unlocking his full potential. He couldn’t afford to go to some high class private school, so he took it upon himself to learn. He stopped going to school altogether and spent his time reading high level books, learning a lot more and a lot faster than any normal person would or could have. By the time he reached his early teens, he knew a lot more than even exceptional adults. But it was also the beginning of a strange phenomenon.
He began to feel weird, like he was losing his body weight, and when he checked, he found out that he was getting lighter and lighter, also he began sweat randomly .He figured out soon though that it wasn’t sweat, his body was leaking into mercury. This was the beginning of his powers manifesting. He researched this online and saw reports of people with super powers. He figured out that this was also what was happening, so he took the time spent studying to learn what these powers were all about. He learned that his atomic structure was slowly shifting from its regular state to mercury. It didn’t take long for him to figure out that through focus he could suppress the symptoms of his powers to be able to live a normal life, but he came to a realization that a normal life wasn’t what he needed. He always felt like he had nothing to do in the world and that he would just waste his life. He intensified his training, going beyond suppression to use it for combat.
He has now enlisted himself to become a new recruit for the Teen Titans. He has not had any experience yet, but he is more than eager to begin his work as a hero.
[There isn’t much in the history no, I wanted this character to be more like a blanks slate, someone who hasn’t experienced much and is fresh to life.]
RPG sample Mercury quickly ran through the prison, making sure everything was alright as it should be. The H.I.V.E were sure to be here to try and breakout their comrades, this was something they could not let happen. It was hard enough dealing witht he ones that are already active, but even more H.I.V.E members could run them mad. The fight for the city would become one sided. There were supposed to be a bunch of them around, but surprisingly he hadn't run into a single H.I.V.E member yet. It didn't feel too good. He turned a hallway to see a group of guards taking aim at someone, though he couldn't see past them. In a moment, a bunch of wind was summoned and the guards were knocked around. The force was strong, even Mercury had a tough time keeping put as he covered his eyes with his arm.
The attack subsided and Mercury uncovered his eyes to see a very unsuspecting figure. A young boy had taken out all of the guards and was now mercilessly kicking one in the head. Was he really a H.I.V.E member? He didn't look like he would even want to be associated with them. Either way, it was obvious he was a threat and he'd have to take him out here. The attack before was wind based, his powers could include a form aerokinesis, but he couldn't be too sure. He had to see exactly what he did. He walked toward him and stopped a few meters away. He was first going to hope the boy was nice enough to stand down if he wasn't too aggressive, but he didn't think so either way. "You're a H.I.V.E member aren't you? I'm going to ask you to please stand down." Jake stood ready, waiting for his reaction.
