It was nighttime. Hatsu scoffed, leaning back on his knapsack on the bench and staring at the stars above. Most were hard to make out; in a city like Jump, the sky was filled with the chemicals of the 'big cities', and while it wasn't bad as some, which had yellow skies of all things, it was still bad enough that the sky was never truly clear.
"Tch..." It really figured, he told himself. Of all the things he'd forgotten to do when he moved here, he'd managed to leave out a place to actually move. Sitting up and pulling out his laptop, he scowled slightly before turning the device on. Time to remedy that... Lets see... What places could he potentially rent out as an apartment without them realizing the sole inhabitant was a 'ten year old little boy'?
As he sat there alone in the single light of the street lamp, the only sound that accompanied him was the clacking of keys... And the occasional rustling of bushes in the wind.

Another day has come and gone in Jump City. A place that has been constantly under so much evil thanks to the Hive Headquaters. Though there was more to the world of Villians then people seeking to take it over. Red X the 1st Class thief was a prime example of such. He had no need for taking a city. Red X had a much bigger target in mind. It was going after the things other people couldn't touch. As Red X moved without a sound into the night a out of place sight caught his eye. Looking over a bench a young boy could be seen sitting alone working on a laptop. Now he knew that a lot of kids these days could use a computer but not many homeless kids. That really caught some interest in X. So he did what came natural for him. Sneak in without a sound and observe from a very awkward point of view. In other words without a sound Red X slipped onto the bench next to him just watching the sky. Speaking out in a soft voice masked by the voice changer in the mask.
"So kid what's your story? You steal that little toy from someone?"
Red X sat there knowing very well that this kid was no threat to him. Even if he was someone super powered. He was just being his usual self in having plent confidence he was untouchable. Though this all came with good reason. For he was one of the very few villians in Jump never caught. In fact no one even had the slightest clue who he was. So he could of been standing next to Robin one day and no one would know. Though it's much more fun to be chased and evade then to hide.

The window he was using to hack a way into a home swiftly vanished from sight, as well as the brief widend gaze he gained with Red X's arrival. His shock was well hidden however, given that he never once looked away from the screen. Foregoing childlike disguises for the sake of comfort, he answered the teen quickly and impassively, keeping it as irrevealing as possible.
"No story," he said shortly as he typed away at a short list of menial things to do. "Certainly not one that would interest you at least. And please, this 'toy' was earned and not 'found'." He scoffed, wonderig briefly if many others in his position would have spoken to a costumed person like this. It helped, he supposed, that beong stabbed was only a drawback rather than a threat; the worst that would happen is he'd have to skip town. "And if you're going to speak," he added, frowning as he mentally compared the other's voice with the general build hesaw in the corner of his eye, "Then use your real voice. Or at least cover it with something closer to your body type. The one you are using is far too soft for your build and height."

Letting out a slight laugh when he spoke about earning the laptop Red X was slightly amused. Though it was sort of annoying to have him speak that way. On top of all of that. This kid didn't seem to be all to normal. Watching him X soon heard him mention about his voice and went silent. Pressing along the side of his mask the more ghostly voice he normally used took over.
"Your something else kid. Would of thought a kid your age would of ran off by now. Though your no normal kid are you?"
Red X jumped up onto his feet and watched the kid as he typed away on his keys. It was annoying to Red X to meet people like him. Most of the people that just worked away on computers had a bit of an ego and liked to talk down to others on a logical point. After a few seconds of watching him X spoke again this time leaning against the lamp post close to the bench.
"Your key strokes show the sign of an expert. You probably give a certain cyborg or midget boy a run for his money. You know how to really use that piece of hardware kid?"
Red X got up and started to feel like he may be able to get something out of this meeting. One way or another it would be something to see. After all it's not like any thing around was worth stealing at the time. Plus his suit was already running at full power.
"You know how to hack kid? Pirate software?"

For the most part, he remained silent, looking at Red X from the corner of his eye with skepticism. Now what was he trying to pull... His fingers froze, the sound of clattering keys halting as he turned with a slightly raised eyebrow. "Normal, I suppose not. As for your other questions..." His eyes narrowed suspiciously, before he continued. "Who are you to ask? A masked figure in the dark of night, questioning a child like me on my computer skills... One would almost think you were up to something," he added with a just slight smirk.
The boy crossed his arms, before continuing with well phrased words. "I can use this device with more skill than those who made it, that can be certain; and among those skills, comes the ability to do a little bit of... 'bypassing' on the cybernetic highway if you put it that way." To say flat out that he hacked would be foolish, completely idiotic. It would be best to see just why this person was interested. Then, depending on what those interests would do for him...
Then they could talk 'business'.

X watched the boy and found this to be a bit tiring now. After all things would need to be getting done. So it was now time to talk out what he wanted or maybe shut the kid up. Pulling a small computer from his pocket Red X typed in a few things before placing it back into his pocket. Speaking once again Red X turned to the boy.
"I'm always up to something kid. Waiting for things to just come along takes to long. I'm more of take action type of guy."
After the kid was able to spit out some words about having some skill in bypassing codes. That was all Jack needed to know. Cause from the looks of it Jack needed something done right now and this kid probably needed something as well. Everyone needs something. Once it was time to talk buisness Red X put it all on the table flat out.
"Okay then kid I have one job for you. I need you to get me all the information on every single prisoner the prison has held in the past two years. As well as the ones who were released or now wanted. If you do that for me I'll give you 500,000 dollars. I just need everything they have on file as well as the files reported by any hero or cop that took them in."

500,000??? There was a brief pause in the clattering of keys, and he narrowed his eyes. A steep price- and given that he wanted the files on essentially every super-villain caught in Jump City as an offshoot of the request, there was no way of telling just what slope that price came from. In the end however, he saved and closed his list to pull up another window, silently typing out the commands for the hack he was running with ease.
"I'll take it," he said as he ran the codes through and began pulling file after file from the database, "On one condition." He looked over the laptop screen, still typing as he narrowed his eyes just slightly. "Either you or someone else you're associated with provides me with housing by tomorrow." He mind as well get a house out of this after all.
