Jinx waltzed proudly into her beloved school. This was it! This was the place that would make her someone important! Someone to be remembered! Someone cool and fancy and rich and powerful and rich and- Oh the kid was still there.
"This is it!" She said loudly, dramatically extending an arm towards the corridor that pretty much looked like a, well, hive. "This is the place I was talking to you about!"
And then the tour began. Jinx started walking happily, ahead of the kid while she continued talking. Ah, it was so nice to have someone who was finally listening to her. And such a cute little boy too. The only problem was... he was a cute little boy. What was he anyway? Eight? Ten? He couldn't be more than ten.
"And those are the classrooms. And that hallway leads to the training hall. They are going to train you here. Oh, and through that door- that one has the biggest best computers you'll ever see." She was proud of her school. She really was. And she was proud of who they were making her be. She had more control of her powers than ever and she was now part of a team. A real one at that. Of course, she was still stuck with those losers of the H.I.V.E. 5 but she didn't put much attention to that little detail now.
"So how about it?" She asked, finally turning to the kid, "Do you like it here?"

Lucas arrived at the golden building feeling a little iffy. To him helping a criminal hadn't seemed wrong, however Jinx was in fact a criminal. The walk to her domain had told him so, she robbed banks, fought cops, and made phones explode. He was very happy she hadn't harmed anyone on there way here because Lucas would have felt compelled to help them. As powerful as he was he knew he couldn't he couldn't take Jinx in a fight. As he made his way inside Jinx told him that this was the place. It had seemed like a giant beehive, comb like cell panels filled the floor and just as well everything was golden and black. Jinx took him on the tour of the building and somehow Lucas didn't think this place was as isolated as it seemed, in fact it was a school of some sort. She had mentioned a place where they would train him, for what was his only question.
”I like it but they would teach me magick for free?”[/b] Lucas asked curiously looking at Jinx quizzically. ”Plus are you sure that this is a good place? I'm mean you seem proud of it but do you like to be here?”[/b] Lucas's questions weren't to be mean but he just wanted to make sure he wasn't getting into a bad spot. Although the chance to learn magick meant he could possibly find his mother. Plans raced through his head and soon he almost decided he would stay here for sure.

Luca seemed really quiet through the whole tour thing. It didn't matter much to Jinx. The quieter he was the more she could talk. Besides, he seemed to be taking in everything she said which made him all the more pleasant to be around with.
His first question made her turn back to him and she blinked at him for a moment. For free? She thought carefully about what she was going to say. He wasn't exactly as stupid as her teammates, although he was far more innocent and young. Well, at least he looked younger than them. Maybe not Gizmo, but still...
"Well, they may ask you to do a thing or two for them." She said lightly as if said things didn't involve stealing and fighting. "But nothing you couldn't handle. And yes, they'll teach you everything you need to become stronger. They taught me how to control my powers."
And then came his next question. That one was a bit more difficult than the first one. Did she like it here? Jinx had never asked herself that question before. Well, it was a place to stay. They fed her and they trained her and they gave her a chance to become someone important. Someone that mattered. She was never one to be good, mostly because her very essence was to bring evil wherever she went. But did she like it?
Jinx remembered her teammates and how they often ignored her and messed up their plans. How they complained about hard work and often seemed more interested in having pizza than actually getting better.
No, she didn't like it there. She hated it in fact. But there was no other place for her. She had to be there. She had to train and become more powerful in order to become the person she'd always wanted to be. Someone to be looked up to. Someone strong and daring and unafraid of who she was.
"Of course I like it!" Was her reply though. Not like she was going to start sharing her deepest feelings with a kid she just met. "What's not to like?" She smiled again and patted the boy on the head once more before turning back to the tour.
"That hallway there leads to the girls bedrooms." She said, nodding toward there. "You can come visit, but I'm sure we'll see each other all the time." Jinx winked at him once more, keeping the light smile on her face. "An over there," She nodded to the end of the hall where a big door shaped as a comb was placed, "Are the boys dorms. I'm sure you'll be okay here."

Lucas listened in on Jinx's words making sure he didn't miss understand anything. Apparently the school wouldn't be free they would ask for one or two things but she made it sound it'd be more actions instead of money. She had agreed that this place would make him stronger just like it did Jinx. Maybe that means they'd work on his weaknesses as well to become possibly more well rounded. She answered his next question with a bit of enthusiasm Jinx had even asked him what's not to like? Lucas couldn't answer that question so he smiled and nodded and simply. Her hand patted his hair again making giggle a little bit. Jinx pointed to a large comb and began to speak about dorms and Lucas took the information in.
”Alright but who do I have to take to, to get in? I Mean is there some sort of test or do I just claim a room?” Lucas didn't want to get Jinx in any trouble by not following some rules. He wrapped his arms around Jinx lovingly giving the bad luck witch the biggest hug he could muster. ”Thanks Jinx.” He said happily before moving to the boy dorm and walking in. Lucas was sure someone in there would help him talk to the person in charge.

Jinx smiled at the boy, "Just talk to the Headmaster." She said lightly as if it was the most common thing in the world. Of course, this was a scary man who would constantly yell at them and demand more and more each time you trained. But this was also a man who took in a lot of kids who had nowhere else to go and trained them to control their powers.
She was sure Luca would easily be a part of their group anyway. Maybe join the younger ones. He had nice powers and he was nice to everyone... yeah, that could be a problem. But they were teachers for that too.
And then he hugged her. Actually hugged her. Jinx tensed as the little one wrapped his arms around her, not really used to have her personal space invaded. Of course, to Jinx, he was just a little kid. A lost kid with powers looking for his mom. Plus Luca was incredibly cute and sweet. It was hard, even for someone as cold as herself, to not feel sorry for the little guy.
"...Yeah. Yeah. It's- it's fine." She replied nervously, trying not to push him away. He was lucky. If it had been someone her age or older she would had killed him on the spot. Of course, Jinx didn't know exactly how old the boy was.
The boy finally let go and she let out a breath, watching him walk down the hallway. Well... that had been interesting. Maybe he was bringing out the motherly instinct Jinx doubted she had in the first place. Oh well... She smiled again, shaking her head. Look at her, doing something good for a change. Caring for someone. Next thing you'll tell her is that she will turn into a Titan and fight her friends.
