Maia nodded, blushing a tiny bit. At least he seemed to be just as nervous and shy. Maybe he had also never seen one like him before. "Well, thank you. Though unless something hits my heart I'm fine; my blood has healing properties."
She almost reached for his hand but stopped herself. What if he didn't like being touched? Best not to. "Alright. Shall we go, then? Oh! Um....ca-can you fly? It might be a bit faster...if you don't mind that is."

"Just cause you won't die doesn't mean I still wouldn't stop it."
Jack watched her and it seemed like she wanted to do something but stopped herself. When she said it was time to go Jack stretched out his legs and got ready to go. Though his eyes went wide when he heard what she asked almost wanting to laugh. If a question like that came up in any normal conversation people would probably be calling a hospital. Though Jack just assumed she could fly. Well Jack had his own ways of getting around.
"No I can't fly but you can go ahead. I'll follow. I'm pretty fast. I can dodge bullets after all."
Jack kind of realized if she could fly it kind of made less of a point for him to bring her home. Though at the same time it just felt right to see her home. Cause anything could happen. Jack looked up toward a few of the houses and buildings. Speaking in a softer voice while putting his hood up over his head.
"Just fly next to those houses and buildings. I'll show you how a guy like me gets around."

Maia gave a small laugh, nodding as she started to float in the air. "Alright. But while I can fly faster than I can run I doubt I'm as fast as you." With a grin on her face she went higher in the air but made careful sure Jack could see her as she headed for the houses.
This seemed so...surreal. She had met someone she could relate to! Even only a little! Someone like her! Hopefully her father had already taken his medicine and if he hadn't he wouldn't freak out. But she was sure worse came to worse she'd heal one if not both of them. Blood Star just hoped it wouldn't come to that.

As she took off Jack took a mad dash for the first house leaping from the ground onto the roof. A large grin spread across his face with his large fangs showing through as they held together. Only opening to take breaths as he soon followed her across the roofs flipping and jumping roof to roof. Following her just from slightly behind her Jack just followed wondering where she lived. Then started to wonder just was waiting for him when he got there. Maia probably didn't know this but other than his uncle Jack never met another living person like he met her. Running much like a wild animal in a large stride across the roof tops Jack found himself reaching higher into the sky as he jumped up.
"I don't know what I'm thinking. Just got to hope it all ends well."
Though now that he had the moment to himself he watch Maia and just wondered what made him trust her now. This wasn't like him even if she was like him. Was he just starting to lose his mind or was he so desperate to make the pain go away. He would really risk maybe everything to make some kind of connection with someone. Other than being this monster who fights random battles.
"I guess I'll find out."

Blood Star grinned, looking back to check on the demon boy. "Almost there! Just a few more houses!" Slowly, she started to descend until she landing in front of a house that seemed no different from the others except the address '999'. Her father thought it would be funny since of course first thing he saw was '666' upside down.
"Alright! We're here!" She sighed. Of, she was going to be in so much trouble. Gathering up her courage she gently knocked on the door. Quickly the sound of someone charging for the door came from inside. The door flung open to reveal a man with jet black hair and blood red eyes. "Maia! Oh! We were worried! Did anyone see you?! Are you alright?!"
"Dad! You're not doing to believe this! I met a guy like me! He's name is Jack! He's only half human! Like I am!"
"Wh-what?" The man's mouth twitched slightly, head turning until it almost rested on his left shoulder. Uh oh....he hadn't taken it yet! "....a guy...you say?"

Jack heard Maia and watched her soon drift down into landing. Slowing down his advance Jack watched what house she landed on first then made his way to the roof just next to it. It would seem her parents were home cause he saw her talking to someone. Doing one last leap Jack went through the air and landed just behind Maia. Removing his hood Jack just stood there with a slight grin on his face. Happy that he was able to run around like that. Though a few things caught his eye that started to make him think this was a bad idea. One was the house number. Though that was just all to fitting for Jack. Then there was a man he thought to be one her father or two her older brother or something along those lines.
He had red eyes and black hair. Then there was the fact he didn't look the happiest. Jack soon realized standing there in torn clothes and blades around his arms was probably not so good at the time. Staying quiet Jack just waited to see what would come of all this. Though the only thing that ran through his mind is that this could of been a mistake. Then of course if she asked him about him staying there it might not end the best way. Though Jack just stood there calm losing his grin and taking on his more cold expression. Which really was the only other face he knew how to make.

The man looked at Jack for a moment, then back at his daughter. "...hm. Certainly not a full blooded human..."
Maia sighed, shaking her head. "Dad...go take your medicine before something bad happens. Before mom throws a fit at you. Go!'
The man grumbled, going back inside and shaking his head but not before calling out. "Sophia! Maia is home!"
As he disappeared into the house there were more hurried footsteps, this time a woman with blond hair and blue eyes. "Oh! Maia!" The fact that she was her mother showed right away as she hugged Blood Star. One thing that stood out was she had a bit of an English accent. "We were starting to worry! Ah. And who's this." Strangely enough, she seemed unfazed by Jack's appearance. "But no matter, no matter. Did you come to make sure she got home safe? Oh, thank you! We do worry about her at night. Some people are just so cruel! Oh. Chilly out tonight. Would you like to come in? Maybe some food? Cup of tea?"

Jack just kept watching and soon found himself wondering just what was going to happen now. Though it's not like Jack was afraid but more along the lines of interested. Once Maia sent him away Jack started to wonder who ran the house. Though when he heard another set of rushed foot steps make there way, it all became very clear. The mother rushed out hugging Maia. Jack watched on wondering if his mother would of loved him like that. Though he wiped that memory from his mind as fast as it came. Wanting to not think of his past or his family. Hearing the accent Jack felt even more out of place and was getting a bit nervous. When she started talking and asking him for food or tea, it came clear who Maia took a lot after.
"Uhm...I guess I could come in for a little bit. I just wanted to make sure Maia made it home okay."
Jack waited for Maia to walk in planning to use her as his shield. Being in a situation like this Jack didn't know what to do. He was more afraid of her mother than he was of her father. Though the reason for that is he didn't know how to handle her. Never having these situations pop up before everything was like a new world. Jack would just follow Maia and hope he could keep his cool.

Maia gave a nervous laugh as her mother stepped back and she walked in, Sophia closing the door behind. "Anything you can't eat or don't like? Oh! I'm sorry. How rude of me. I'm Sophia Miller, Maia's mother."
Blood Star gave a small nod. "Oh! So-sorry. Mother, this is Jack. Jack....as she said this is my mother. The from a moment ago was my father, Daniel Miller. He gets...a little tense when he doesn't take his medicine."

"I really eat just about anything. I never was to picky."
When Jack heard the mother introduce herself Jack just gave a slight nod as he was introduced to her by Maia. Then he was able to find out who her father was. It would seem that her dad was the one she told him about. That was easy to see though it puts it more in perspective when you see it for Jack.
"It's nice to meet all of you."
Jack looked down at the ground trying to stay close to Maia. Even though it wasn't like Jack to be scared it was a strange feeling he had being around other people. It's not like he was always hanging out with other people or going to other people's houses. This was the first time he has even been in a modern day house. Looking around he saw some things he knew and some he didn't. Rolling up the ripped sleeves to his hoodie it revealed some scars on his arms. They were small but visible. His ice blue eyes watched all the movement in the room as he waited to see what he should do. Jack spoke in a soft whisper to himself as he watched Maia and her mother.
"I feel like an alien..."

Maia's mother nodded, taking off to the kitchen as she gave a sigh of relief. "Oh....I'm so sorry about that. She's....just being a mom. She's very carefree considering everything. Has to be when she's the odd one in the house. Um..so...I guess I should give you a tour if you'd like."

"Your mother seems nice. She loves you very much."
Jack watched as the mother fully left sight and back to Maia who was asking to give a tour. Really as long as it didn't mean he had to be alone with one of her parents, he was fine with it. Jack got ready to follow Maia wherever she went. Jack looked around the house and could only wonder once again what his life may of been like with a family. So many things would probably be different. Though it also meant he may of not of been there to save some people's lives. Meaning they would be dead. So some of this could only seem like it had to happen. Jack didn't know what it was like to be purely happy. Though he never wondered what it was like. His way of seeing it is that the less you think or no of it. The more you don't think your missing anything.
"Maia do me a favor and don't leave me alone with your parents. I'm not to good with people."

She couldn't help but laugh at the comment, heading to the right into a comfortably sized room with a couch, a love seat, and an average sized TV. "Don't worry. I won't. I know they can be a bit crazy on their own. Oh! No wonder they were so freaked!"
Maia rolled her eyes, almost glaring at the TV. "That explains a lot. They were watching Dracula. Must have gotten to wrapped up in it. Also explains while dad didn't take his medicine yet. Romantic horror movies. They go crazy for them! Should have seen them when they first watched that Wolfman movie." Shaking her head with a smile, she turned off the TV.
"Don't know how my dad puts up with vampire movies. It's...the reason our eyes are red. The blood experiment....they were trying to engineer a man-made vampire. My dad came close but in the end they only mutated his blood enough that it got passed down to me. I-I'm sorry..I....it's just.....nice to have someone I can talk to about these things that other people would hear and think I'm crazy."

"I'll just try to understand what you just said. Keep in mind from now on I grew up in the mountains in another country.....I just got here last week."
Jack really only knew that a TV had a box with moving pictures. He had no idea how they worked. Then all the stories that she spoke of Jack never heard of either. He could only just stand and nod. It was easy for him to try and pretend he knew something. Even though the reality of it was, she might as well be speaking to a wall. Jack soon heard her story though and then she started to apologize for it.
"Don't apologize. It's okay. I understand. I don't know why I was born. I never knew my mother and all I know about my father is even by demon standards. He is very bad."
Jack placed a hand across his face. His mouth hanging open slightly as he felt the burning in his body. It felt like a fire was burning inside of him. His body temp was always slightly warmer than a human. Making him feel not hot but warm to just about anyone who got close to him. Jack soon straightened himself out and kept close to Maia. All of his movements held no sound out of his training. He knew it was odd for him to walk like that and move like that. Though he couldn't help it cause it was natural to him now. No matter how he moved or how he stepped it was like he was just there. He noticed it right away and remembered why he was here.

"Oh! Sorry! I didn't know! Um....how did mom explain it? It's a box with electricity going through it. Like lightening but less intense. Some place far away they capture pictures and transfer them into TVs like this everywhere."
Maia frowned slightly again. "I'm sorry to hear that. Really....sometimes I wonder how my parents get through everyday like this. They must really love each other to go through all this and stay together. But....if he's a very bad man maybe it's best you didn't know your father. You might not be so nice, then!"
She was surprised at his sudden actions. "Jack? A-are you alright?" She stepped a bit closer, noticing the warmth. It was...actually weird for her. Due to the mutation she was actually a bit more on the chilly side. Not cold but....not as warm as him. The last thing on her mind was that it might be something different about them. "Ah! You ok? Are you sick?"
